Finding a way away from you
Turning away from love so true
Filling emptiness with your absence,
Not sensing feelings in your presence;
Painting the pictures with no colors,
Relishing tastelessness & no flavors;
Loving the “lull” in loveless life of a lover,
Sucking the nectar of a nonexistent flower;
Living imagination of life “without you”,
“Deaf ears” enjoying the melody so true…

I am delighted to see poem that scans and rhymes. Thanks for liking my Seasonal Affective. If you like to work with formal poetry, I suggest Timothy Steele’s “It’s All In How You Say A Thing,” a thorough study of metrical poetry.
