Secret of survival

The magic of the moon is so evident,

The beauty spots making it exuberant;

The gold glitters when raw and pure,

Jewellery dazzles when made impure;

Sweet, soft , & serene will always suffer,

Unless it takes up a tough thorny cover;

Clean true & right cannot survive,

But a trace of wrong helps it thrive;

Nature reveals secrets to flourish in perils,

Walking hand in hand with the good & evils!!

  1. I don’t know which part I like more

    “Sweet, soft , & serene will always suffer,

    Unless it takes up a tough thorny cover;” or

    “Clean true & right cannot survive,

    But a trace of wrong helps it thrive;”

    I like the sinister feel of “But a trace of wrong helps it thrive”

    I love it all!

  2. Love this poem. I particularly like the lines –

    “Sweet, soft , & serene will always suffer,
    Unless it takes up a tough thorny cover;”

    Sometime it has that little evil edge to it and other times, for me, it is a parent talking to a child who is maybe bullied at school. Very nice piece of writing, thanks for sharing 🙂
