The bright sun refused to rise,
Sending night to refresh the ties;
The dark clouds peeped down ,
On the tired,dark and lonely town;
In the crowd, I was alone,
Cold silence without a moan;
Searching for a surprise in the dark,
Waiting for message of the singing lark ;
Eyes stuck to the waiting window ,
Heart beats slow and heart sunk low ;
Rebellious thoughts hovering on mind,
Missed moments difficult to find;
Struggling thoughts to reach an end,
Taking efforts on mistakes to mend;
Spending days months years and births,
To seek warmth and wanted mirth;
Feelings racing to play and win,
For the game of innocence versus sin!

“…innocence vs sin.” Which one do i want? Id say both, coz i will be aware what is happening at the moment and see where i will be standing on.

Beautiful. I like the rhyming couplets and the rhythms that flow in them. The imageries used are very perfect, and one can easily feel the liveliness of the poem. Nice one, Chitkala
