Caging happiness

I craved for my favourite dish,

I rushed to get my love,

I struggled to make a wish,

But for this I never had to bow;

Pleasure chased independence,

I thought money would bring it,

Till I grab the joyance,

It vanished under my love’s feet;

I searched my happiness in heart,

In the soothing shower of love,

Even this time it was smart,

It flew away like a naughty dove;

Running far away from me,

I peeped inside me to see,

Hiding deep inside me,

Like a dove so free;

It whispered in my ears,

” Not in the world outside

Cage me and say cheers!

Forever in you deep inside”

  1. Yes Happiness is within us and we need not chase anything in life. What ever that is ours or meant to be will come to us in time. We don’t see what we have within us sometimes, until someone shows us or we ourselves realize. Only word I am a little wary of is the word, cage. This is something that is to do with me, as cage sounds like, being in a cage and not free. Forgive me if I sound critical I am not 🙂
    After living a long time under stress, is almost like in a cage so I tend to avoid and, think and feel free all the time. As real happiness is being free. They are deep words and Thanks for sharing with us 🙂 ❤
