Everyday I walked to the letterbox,
To read the message you had left for me,
But one day you started sending me blank letters,
Nameless and wordless,
You were very sure I could read them,
I never missed a single blank letter,
One day I went to the box and found no letter,
I still visited the empty box daily,
Every time I planted a tear in it,
I waited and waited for your letter,
The box got soaked, it rusted and broke,
I collected the remains and kept them with me,
To wait for you to send a letter to my heart..

Especially liked the part where the tears collected in the box are enough to rust and finally collapse it. Wonderful metaphor.

Heartbreaking, moving and
still being phrased as simply
as possible.
Keep it up! 🙂
