“I am alone today and not just a day but many days at times. I wished I had someone with me to do all the things I love the most. Unfortunately, I have quit the desire to do all that I love only because I have no company.”
Wait.. I am not talking about me, this is the story of many people and especially women. I have decided not to be amongst them.
I wished to go for a movie, but all my friends are busy in their own lives and I am all alone. This flashed a thought in my mind..’I am not alone’. I am with me! So I am going for a movie alone! Here I am going to take a challenge of doing all those things alone that people usually don’t.
Not just me but I challenge all my dear readers to try it once! Do 10 things alone that may seem weird. How about it? I will wait for your response to know how it felt after trying it out. I enjoyed it and felt a sense of complete emotional independence that blessed me woth bliss. Now it’s your turn!

I think that we need to think of ourselves as our best friends and treat ourselves as we would treat a friend. Enjoy the movie π

I have done many things alone in the past and do it these days too. It gives a sense of independence, there is no restriction because we are not dependent on others for timing, availability or mood. It also gives the confidence to be able to so many things by myself. Just pick up my bag and go wherever I want!

I spend months of time alone at a stretch, and find I do even more when I’m alone than when I am not: museums, dining, hiking, camping, traveling. It really does give one a feeling of empowerment, and it changes the way one sees the world. The first time one goes off alone though….wildly freeing.

I have done many things alone, over the past seven years: Eating in a restaurant, watching a movie, hiking, driving across the U.S., cleaning my back yard. I am not a recluse, but other people around me are busy, much of the time.

Wow, I love this! I have been married 10 years, almost, but what I value is my alone time and he respects that. I love to shop, eat, and sometimes go to a movie alone. We often depend on others for our happiness, when it’s right within us.

Exactly… that’s what we ought to do!

I have been alone, even when I was not alone ! So now I live all alone! Yes I do things alone as then it is possible to do what you like, the way you want and when you want. But now and again I do miss company. Share a joke, some little thing that happened while I was out. And to just be around. But I have learnt my lessons and rather be alone than be with someone who will not be loving and kind, and for me to end up losing my freedom and unhappy in my life. Thank you for your words. Much Love and Light π β€

You are right about that. We should not hold back on ourselves just because we lack companionship.
But it shouldn’t be like this all the time. We might have come in to this world alone, and probably leave alone but that does not mean we have to live alone too.
We should not be dependent on people, but once in a while, it feels good to have someone by your side.

One of the things I adore the most IS being alone! It’s a time where I decide what happens next, no commentary on what’s wrong; it’s all good. Continue to enjoy good, quality alone time with yourself, I say! π

I have done it at times….but many things in life require a person or team to do…How can you do that? how can you play badminton alone? For people who are alone it is a bit satisfaction here….but its not the way out.

Agreed… but this focusses more on the mental strength part.. What I mean is if ur spouse or friend doesn’t like badminton join a court and find a way out.. For that you need not have a friend..
