It came back to me

I asked the little one,
To get out now
and walk away,
The poor little thing
wanted to stay,
I kicked it out,
I asked it to leave,
I abandoned it,
And it ran away..
The little feeling
Got totally lost,
In the mind maze,
Of its own thoughts,
It walked on thorns,
It drowned in tears,
It faced hurricanes,
Yet it survived,
Yet it struggled,
Yet it searched,
Day and night,
And finally..
It returned back
To my waiting heart..
