She walked wearily with her eyes blind,
On a foggy road leaving her sight behind;
Soon she saw a face her eyes knew well,
On this face once she loved to dwell;
With a gush of wind the face vanished,
Came a smirky face with purity tarnished;
Its lips smirked and eyes shone with smile,
More baffling faces appeared in a while;
She heard that truth her eyes had hidden,
Saw the face for which her heart was smitten;
The face was the same and so were the eyes,
The fog had played a game that spoke lies,
Illusions of the fog made her heart spur,
Now she knew it was a trick to fool her;
She closed her eyes and spoke to her heart,
“Wasn’t this the truth you had long sought?”;
